SOTD 6/9: There was a time when lyrics didn't really matter much













...and that never really bothered me. early REM records? pick out a word that made sense, i dare you. michael stipe's voice was just another sound layered over music...and that's what i love about today's song. it's a my bloody valentine-esque rocker, lots of distortion, soaring guitars, fuzz, and all things good and indie rock, with this ethereal kinda shoegazer voice that floats in and out over everything...it's tasty tasty stuff...

quick google update: apparently this band? hasn't recorded a note since 1991. d'oh. love them, but don't get too close, ok?
